No primary elections being held today in La Crosse County
The next election in La Crosse County is April 2.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLCX) – La Crosse County officials said that there are no polling places open today in the county because there are no primaries or referendums to vote on.
The Spring Primary is only offered if statewide, county, municipal, or school board races need to narrow down the field of candidates to a maximum of two per seat for the Spring Election.
In La Crosse County, there are no races that have more than two candidates per seat for this spring.
A sign is being posted on the doors at municipal and county voting locations letting people know that there is no election today, that the next election is on April 2, and to review voter registration information ahead of the next election.
The 2024 Spring Primary is today, Feb. 20, across the state, with the 2024 Spring election on April 2. The 2024 Fall Primary is on Aug. 13, while the 2024 General Election will be held on Nov. 5.
