WISCONSIN (Civic Media) – The Biden-Harris campaign have announced they have bought $25 million worth of ads to run in Wisconsin.

The ads will run in Madison, Milwaukee, and Green Bay markets, as well as in major markets in six other states. They will air on both broadcast and cable television and online on platforms like Youtube, Hulu, and Instagram.

This is the third major ad buy by the Biden campaign this election cycle, and the first to include ads targeting Hispanic and African American media. The ads will highlight the Biden administration’s economic accomplishments from his first term in office, and will run for 16 weeks.

The announcement comes just days ahead of the first GOP presidential debate in Milwaukee. The debate will begin on Wednesday, August 23 at 8PM. Notably absent from that debate is former President Donald Trump, who officially announced yesterday that he will not attend the first debate.

Trump has consistently polled significantly higher than the other candidates in recent weeks, with a recent CBS polling show Trump to have a nearly 50-point lead on the next closest candidate.

The debate is set to be a packed affair. So far, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former vice president Mike Pence, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie have all qualified.
