President Joe Biden is in Wisconsin and talking about his economic policies. His visit comes just a week before Republicans will be in Milwaukee for the party’s first presidential debate.

The President’s stop in the Badgers State on Tuesday is also timed with the anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act. He signed the economic policies into law one year ago. Biden telling the crowd gathered at Ingeteam, a clean energy manufacturer of wind turbine generators in Milwaukee, his legislation is having a positive impact. Biden says the company is receiving money to hire more employees through the Inflation Reduction Act, including 100 to produce EV charging stations.

Biden also saying the legislation is allowing millions of dollars to be spent in an effort to boost other domestic manufacturers, pointing out that reconstruction of a main interstate bridge over the Wisconsin River will be completed by workers and products from America.

Also, the President touted $42 million to administer the Broadband Infrastructure Program across Wisconsin. It is an investment in broadband construction to provide high-quality internet to locations that lack access to adequate, affordable service.

Wisconsin is one of several critical states where Biden will need to persuade voters his policies are making a difference for the state and the country. He is expected to visit Wisconsin several times in the future to make his case.
