MILWAUKEE (WAUK) – Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers is seeking applicants for three judge vacancies in the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.
The latest opening for Branch 24 is being created due to the resignation of Judge Janet Protasiewicz, who was elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The appointed judge would serve out the term ending July 31, 2024.
There are also existing openings for Branch 14 and Branch 16.
Anyone interested in applying to any of the three positions can send their application form and supporting materials to GOVJudicialAppointments@wisconsin.gov before 5 p.m. on April 12, 2023. Applicants do not need to specify which branch they are seeking, as the entire pool of applicants will be considered for all three vacancies. An application can be found on Gov. Evers’ website. Questions about the process can call the Governor’s Office of Legal Counsel at 608-266-1212.
